Design Technology: Step 5 Evaluate
Create
Create is divided in to 4 big parts. They are:
1. Model: This is the thing that you make
according to the plan and design you chose.
2. Process Journal: You write this after every
period you work on making your model.
One entry of the process journal is also divided
in to parts:
a) Date
b) Number of periods left.
c) Works completed, tools used
d) Problems
e) Am I keeping my plan of action?
f) What I need to do next
3. Evaluation: This is when we evaluate the create
stage and talk about what was easy and what was
hard. We can also talk about what we could
improve on.
4. Link in to Specification: This is when we put at least 3 pictures of the different stages of building our model. We have to link these pictures in to the specification points that we wrote in Step 1: Investigate.
For create my case was very frustrating because I had Oliver Twist and I had to miss some days of DT. If I had all the time that was provided I have a feeling that I could have reached the highest standard. For the Process Journal I have done it well because I wrote it right after each class and I remembered it well. for the evaluation it went well because I knew specifically what I did well and what I need to improve on. For the linking in to specification, it was easy because for the most part, I had everything that was mentioned in the specification.
