1. Evaluate Tick List

(1) Evaluation of product

I think the Product was not as good as I expected because I had to change a lot of things in my product. For example I almost had to change every measurement in order to make my product work. The materials slightly changed as well. The outcome of the product was very messy and not as tidy as I wanted it to be. In Term 2, I am looking forward in doing tidy and preparing for it better.

(2) Testing - reflect on the feedback received from users/ client

I had a lot of feedback received from the users/ clients in order to make my product better. For example, in the design interview, my client said that design two was best and listed some reason why it was. I took the client's thought in consideration and my own when picking the model. In the end I was also satisfied with Design 2 and chose it. The feedback from the client was very precise and I asked them specific questions on what I could improve or what I could add to my work.

(3) Design Specifications - discuss if the final product fulfills these

My final product fulfills most of the points in my specification. Some of the points that I fulfilled are firstly, Functions: The function that my product does is giving a person shelter and giving them warmth. To give, the person warmth I made a carpet in my emergency shelter, As for giving them shelter I am making an emergency shelter. The second example is Aesthetic appearance (Shape, color, texture): The shape of this shelter is going to be a hexagonal prism. The color is going to be translucent because they need some privacy but also need a sense of what is going on outside. The shape of the emergency shelter was indeed a hexagonal prism. However the color changed. Originally  I was going to make all of my emergency shelter translucent but I changed it so that the windows were translucent.

(4) Social significance - discuss how useful your product really is

My product is really useful for a lot of reasons. The first reason is that it could be used on land or it could be used for high places. Since this emergency shelter is specifically made for one natural disaster which is flood, I had to make it so that it could be attached to high places. Also The emergency shelter its self is big so it could hold a lot of people. This emergency shelter was made by the thought of the large population in China, so it is essential that it could be able to hold a lot of people.

(5) Improvements - what could still be improved

The point that could be still Improved in the product is again the quality of the model. I also need to work on planning the design more thoroughly so that  I don't have to change my measurements.

2. Evaluation

I evaluated very well because I knew my mistakes and what parts that I was missing out on. Like I said, I had a poor quality of the actual model. I said that in Term 2 I can work on that by designing the model well and being more organized when I am actually creating my model. When I was Evaluating I had already known what I was going to write because after every stage I always thought to my self about what I did wrong or what I could improve on. Also Evaluating made me feel refreshed because it was the last step to the design Cycle and made me feel proud of my self for finishing it.
